Launching Professional Development Programme 2017

Adding knowledge with a year-long programme of talks, workshops and masterclasses

 
The Museum of Brands’ professional development programme is gathering momentum. With its industry focused series of talks, workshops and masterclasses, attendees can build on their knowledge with the latest insights from marketing experts. The Museum’s unique setting offers access to a huge range of displays showing brands, packaging and advertising from Victorian times to present day.

Our aim is to build a world class programme of events that supports the marketing industry and enhances the careers of its practitioners. Neuroscience – Why People Buy
Wednesday 17 May 2017 6.30pm £19 plus booking fee
An interactive presentation fromNikki Westoby, Director at Neilson Consumer Neuroscience. Nikki will show how the conscious and subconscious brain works and how brands use such insights to hone their products. There will be a live demonstration using the actual monitoring equipment and attendees will be able to see the results for themselves.

Experiential Retail
Monday 3 July 6.30pm £25 plus booking fee
A lively discussion by Iain Swan, Strategy Director at Bright London on creating brand experiences. Traditional bricks and mortar retail space has changed; those retailers who offer people a different kind of retail experience are standing out from the crowd. Brands who move with this trend will thrive beyond the 21st century. 


Summer Innovation Labs
Fridays 14, 28 July and 11, 25 August £45plus booking fee
Perfect for recent graduates, join our interactive summer day course offering the opportunity to apply insights into historical packaging and branding to new creative iterations and marketing strategies. Working in small teams, participants will take on our branding challenge and present their innovations for the Museum team’s constructive critique. 

Trends In Digital Marketing And What It Means For Brands

Daniel Rowles will lead this thought provoking, hands-on session on the latest trends in digital marketing. The focus will be on taking action that impacts a business straightway. Everyone who attends will receive the Digital Marketing Toolkit, a guide to the best free digital marketing tools.
