PLAN YOUR VISIT
WE ARE GOOD TO GO!
Take a nostalgic journey through 200 years of consumer culture in safety; we’ve installed way finding signs and pass-points, along with a host of other measures, to keep you safe. We are asking visitors to wear face coverings (unless medically exempt) and to maintain social distance from other visitors not in your household or bubble. We have also introduced timed tickets that can be booked online and help avoid any queuing, but we do keep a couple of tickets for each slot for walk in visitors too.
The Time Tunnel, as well as our temporary display, When Brands Take a Stand, are both open. We have also opened our beautiful garden and, while our café remains closed, you are welcome to bring your own food or drink to enjoy there when visiting.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our Time Tunnel shows how daily life has changed since the Victorian times and offers a view of the culture and lifestyle of our parents and grandparents. Remember the taste of Spangles, the scent of Aqua Manda, spot Meccano sets and sing your favourite jingles as you walk down memory lane.
Our temporary exhibitions shine a light on special moments in history and showcase the cutting edge of contemporary branding, packaging and advertising. Will you learn about the history of punk-rock or the battle of the toy brands in the 1950s? See what’s on when you visit.
Our trails for the whole family will guide you through the Museum, point out particularly fascinating objects and give cultural and historical context to the exhibition. View our Memory Trail for adults to learn about the Museum before your visit or use it as an online guide while touring the Time Tunnel.
The Museum of Brands is a great place for groups looking for an educational and entertaining day out. Discover the stories of iconic brands from OXO to Marmite, and dive into the history of consumer culture.
Due to current circumstances, all group bookings of six or more people will need to be discussed prior to purchase. Please contact us on 020 7243 9611 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lead your group on an unforgettable trip down Memory Lane and learn more about consumer history together. Conveniently located in the heart of historic Notting Hill, the Museum brings back childhood memories and gives insight into how our society has evolved since the Victorian era. For groups larger than 10 we offer a 10% discount.
What made Sunlight Soap innovative in the Victorian times? What was the first object in the Museum’s collection? Book an introductory talk about the history of the Museum and our consumer society for an additional £120 per group, or £90 at a concession rate. Talks take approximately 25 minutes and we can accommodate up to 25 people in one group.
Challenge your group to a consumer culture quiz. Can you remember the slogans and jingles for OXO, Persil and KitKat? Using the Museum’s displays to help you, put your memory and advertising knowledge to the test. Print out and bring along to your visit.
Quiz for Coaches
Do you have a long drive ahead of you? Keep your group entertained along the way with our Quiz for Coaches. With three rounds of questions, this quiz will challenge your knowledge of advertising and memorable moments of consumer history. Print out before your visit.
Round off your visit by shopping through a wide range of books, postcards, quirky gifts and stationery, posters, retro sweets and even classic toys and games – our shop has something for everyone. All purchases directly support the Museum charity.
