Location: Museum of Brands, West London
Salary: £21,000 per annum
Hours: Permanent, Full time, Monday-Friday
The Museum of Brands, is looking for an ambitious individual to join a small and busy team as a permanent full-time Learning Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young Museum which relocated to a stunning new building in 2016 and includes a dedicated learning space. This is a marketing and communications role focused to drive our learning visitors. You will be responsible for delivering a financially viable education programme. The role will suit someone keen to develop and learn on the job and someone that is enthusiastic about communications with teachers, tutors and lecturers. You will have a strong interest in the potential of Museum education.
You will promote a range of learning products for audiences ranging from early years to lifelong learners and professional development programme. You will implement a rolling marketing strategy, covering Word of Mouth, website learning pages, newsletters, social media, leaflets and brochures, seasonal promotions, targeted mailings and building the learning contact database.
Through recruiting and training you will build a strong volunteer team who will support on the delivery of taught learning sessions and assist with marketing and learning sessions. Our unique collection of original branded products ranges from the Victorian times through to the present day, and offers great potential for innovative learning opportunities in subjects ranging from packaging design to business studies.
Ideally you will have previous some experience in marketing and learning (ideally in the cultural sector or similar), have a clear understanding of commercial activity, enthusiasm for managing a volunteer team, excellent computer skills, exceptional spoken and written English and great interpersonal skills.
